Experience of fine dining restaurant Hey guys! James here today I am in little hurry to move into a fine dine restaurant in Bangalore specially booked by Hoteliers Association of Bangalore wherein I am a chief guest and fortunately I have been entrusted to do quality audit. So indeed it is a work full of responsibility. In fact in one of the seminars of hotelier’s association I had proposed accreditation system for restaurants and fine dine restaurants. Therefore, our today’s meeting is in the furtherance of my proposal wherein participating restaurants will be ranked depending upon strict norms. So lets us see what comes out of today’s meeting. But let me tell you my hidden interest. I am also looking for some awesome food today as no one likes to compromise with taste as it a matter of rank. Starting with my yesterday’s experience in Delhi I would like to say that Delhi is undoubtedly awesome for food. Here you would get variety of choices and dishes ranging from ten rupees to few thousands. Therefore, it was quite a difficult task to rank as price was a very difficult factor to be normalised. We have to see the price as well. In many fine dining restaurants I realised that quality was quite good but the price was highly exorbitant. However, at some other restaurants I felt otherwise wherein price was okay but quality was extremely poor and service was pathetic. For example I began my journey from Canaught Place which is also known as Rajeev Chowk in Delhi. Restaurants in Canaught place are priced high compared to the service and quality. In few so called fine dining restaurants there was no service at all. They boast to call themselves family restaurants and God know by what all name. Can you imagine a fine dining restaurant without good service and decent serving!! Sad, but this is true. However, at this juncture I would like to clarify that it does not mean all fine dining restaurants in Canaught Place Delhi are bad. In fact some were amazing and beyond my expectation. Their staffs were so well behaved and the aura was so good that while entering itself your appetite, forget waiting for the appetiser. After finishing my visit at Canaught place I went to Chandni Chowk which also happens to be one of the oldest places in Delhi. As expected, food at Chandni Chowk is awesome, that too without making a big hole in your purse. Food was very tasty and price was also good and affordable. In fact personally speaking I would like to eat at Chandni chowk rather Canaught Place and I guess you will also try some fine dining restaurant before making any opinion about them. See I do not say that this is good or bad. In fact wherever I have visited I personally met the head chef and manger and pointed out my observation about their restaurants. Since I believe in practicality therefore I respect the value for money. If a customer spends some hundred bucks, obviously they will look for proportionate quality and service and if they are devoid of this, then definitely it hurts. Ouch!! Especially in matters of food and taste people don’t like to compromise. Therefore, finally I would like to conclude that fine dining restaurants in Delhi needs to improve a lot before they can truly become world class. for more details check
